There was very little to do on such a dull day for students. The slytherin girl didn't fancy sitting in the great hall among crowds of other people or even sitting in the common room. They only ever spoke about one bloody thing, how terrible all the other houses were and how they are the most superior. Roxxie of course agreed with this point of view. Brought up as a pure blooded little witch her family were rather caring towards muggles. She could never understand why, fist sign really of not following the 'gryffindor' tradition of the Farro family. She was damn well glad of it, stuck in that house she would go insane.
Her small five foot one frame wandered out into the grounds of Hogwarts. The weather wasn't the best as light drizzle fell upon her long blond hair making it slightly damp however it wouldn't dampen her moods. The girl adored the rain. Her pale skin would probably reflect that she was out more on days like these than those bright joyous days. She wore her robes though found the need to wrap her slender arms around her frame for a little extra warmth.
Heading down to the water Roxxie's icy blue gaze scanned her surroundings, not another student in sight. Too petrified of this light rain it seemed. Settling her small frame down against a tree she sighed softly but found something jabbing her side. A journal it seemed, pretty crappy hiding place. Not recognizing the name she however recognized the gryffindor crest upon it. With a small smile she tossed it into the water and watched it sink.
Now she was just bored.

Abraxas was well known to be a prankster, and a star player on the quidditch team, but he didn't really care for any of it, as he was just using it all to prove more than one point to his parents and to the memory of his sister. He was determined to make good on the latter if nothing else. Today though, he was on foot, and not being chased by an enraged boyfriend, or angry pair of friends as he'd been two-timing them. Today Mal, as he was known to his closest of friends, was strolling back from the forest, where he'd been playing with advanced spells and his newest dark arts toy. Father always knew the best gifts to send of course.
Seeing Roxxie ahead of him, he smirked. Today he was in a good mood, but then again, she could easily sour it. He was cautious of her for only a few reasons, but they were okay currently...he hadn't pissed her off quite yet so he would be safe to engage her in friendly banter..for a while...
"Hey! FARRO!!" He called, raising both hands to cup around his mouth in order to make the words carry. "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY!" Abraxas waved though he wasn't far away. She was close to a tree, which was nothing spectacularly interesting, but he noticed at least. Abraxas didn't really pay attention to anything that wouldn't help or come into helping him get his own way. She threw something into the water and he frowned slightly, before his smirk returned. Mustn't be that important if she was prepared to lob it to the giant squid anyhoo.

Roxxie heard a voice though she didn't look straight away, she wanted the joy of seeing the book vanish. A second later and it did with a rather nice 'floop' sound as it seemed to be dragged under the last few centimeters. Only then did Roxxie turn in the direction of the voice and her rather bored expression turned into a soft smile as she saw someone actually worth talking to. She had expected a Slytherin though at least. Why the hell would anyone call her name, she was as cold as anything to everyone else although funnily enough could be nice to.
She didn't wave back but just allowed her smile to grow into a grin just at the fact he felt the need to even wave. It's not like she hadn't heard him. Waiting for him to get closer Roxxie then smirked lightly. "What are you doing outside? Been causing a riot again?" She always seemed curious of other people's activities, especially when it involved causing some form of havoc around this place. Roxxie had several times used her manipulative ways to hurt a fellow student even some of her own house.
Leaning back against the tree she glanced up, a rather light smile still apparent against her expression. What wasn't there to be happy about? It was raining lightly but not so much it caused her to shiver, there was hardly a student in sight other than one she was rather fond of. It was all pretty damn good in her books. "What have you been up to?" She smirked lightly her blue eyes glancing up to Malfoy.

Seeing a small smile was encouraging in his eyes, as Abraxas knew that he had rather a quirky temper and so did most Slytherins. One day you were best friends and the next BOOM! someone had spread a rumour and now you were hated. Mostly the rumours about him were true though, that's how he had kept three rather inspired friends throughout his time at Hogwarts. They knew him as he knew them- that kept rumours to the gossipers and the facts straight between them constantly.
As he reached Roxxie, Abraxas noticed a grin then a smirk before she spoke - her words in turn producing a laid back smirk of his own. Shrugging nonchantly with one shoulder he sighed before he replied in a drawl: "Actually I tend to prefer the outdoors to the classrooms and common room - it saves everyone else from rioting around me..." Abraxas was being cocky and he knew it, but that was his character, so it wasn't a 'new' thing.
"How about you Roxxie, avoiding riots or just hiding from homework?" He leant against the tree with one hand, peering around the trunk to look at her. She asked another question and he pulled a face. "Nothing......" His expression was inncocent, but those that knew him well knew that he was possibly the best actor in school.

Of course she should have expected some form of cocky reply to her question. She had come to expect nothing less from the Slytherin. Roxxie herself could be arrogant but she was more docile about it, she didn't have a habit of rubbing it in people's faces. The girl was happy just knowing that she was better than others or right, or even just had caused some harm. She could be quietly smug and feel no need to shout it out. She didn't reply to his comment though, the slytherin simply laughed lightly in response.
"Neither actually." She smiled lightly whilst glancing over at the water, she was sure she heard something stir under there. Nevermind, it happened all the time. "I'm just avoiding...everyone. The common room is full of bloody first years." She pulled an obviously disapproving expression. Usually first years were rather timid, for slytherin students that it. This years lot though seemed to settle in quickly and become relaxed around the older students. She would have to fix that sometime soon but there was time. She had to work out a way to do it first.
Her eyes fixed on his as he said nothing she smirked, he actually pulled it off pretty damn well. To the extent of almost looking sweet. "Aww If I didn't know you better Mal I would actually believe that." She laughed lightly teasing him.

The laugh would have been annoying..but Abraxas figured that as she knew it had been coming then that was her reason for reacting in that way. Nothing personal of course - or he might have had to take affront. Mal was quite good at jumping from emotion to emotion, especially to the most angry and tempramental state, that was fun to jump into, and dangerous for his 'opponent' normally - he pitied them afterward. Poor fools trying to interfere with him and his business, or attempting to prove their 'superiority'...sad and foolish.
"Neither...?" He repeated questioningly, then she answered without need for his interruption. Nodding he rolled his eyes. "Bloody gits... they think they're so clever as they can wave their wand and make sparks.." His tone was bemused, as he had several plans involving the 'head gang' of first years. The Gryffindors first of course though, but even Slytherin first years needed to know their places. Already he had had a 'chat' with a single Slytherin, delivered a friendly warning - which no other house got.
When Roxxie's eyes came back to him, Mal broke his expression and grinned - feigning bashfulness: "Aw shucks Roxxie - that's the closest thing to a compliment I've had from you all day." He was teasing as he had not seen her all day, up until now, but Abraxas could be like that, and he always was thinking of the next few steps.

Roxxie nodded lightly. "At least we're not stuck with any of the other first years, the Gryffindors run around the castle like it's a school trip to explore on...all exited and ich." She wrinkled her nose lightly in almost disgust. At least the slytherin first years shared a few traits with the other Slytherins. Sure they were cocky as hell and stuck up but they were stuck up against the other houses. As long as they got to learn who exactly was in charge in the school then there should be very little problems as far as their relationship went between the other year groups. Roxxie wasn't about to make friendly with them but she had better people to pay attention to with her cruel ways.
The Slytherin girl raised a brow and shook her head at him as if to tell him just how immature he was. She smirked however glancing down at the ground for a split second. "And that's the best one your going to get for the day. I'm all complimented out now." She looked up at him with a teasing smile. Roxxie would never be out right nice, especially people she liked to wind up and tease. Nobody really saw her nice side because she had such a reputation to keep up.
To her true friends the girl would be a loyal and caring, her relationship with them would be rather physical through often sitting with them and being just generally close. She would stick with them and back them up in any argument. This however wasn't the case with anyone at Hogwarts. She had become great friends with nobody although she had friends that was for sure. She had people to watch her back and back her up but whether or not she would return the favour. It was highly doubtful.

Laughing a little at her expression as she wrinkled her nose, Mal shook his head at the truth in her words. He couldn't deny it, as it was simple truth. Better to be honest about things so unimportant. "Still will need to learn their place - it'll be amusing the first time they have a run in with any of the sixth years, or even the second years - they're above people now and you just know that they're going to enjoy doing all those things that the third years do to them." He remembered being in his second year and first 'attacking' the new intake. Luckily he had not had it too hard from the year above him, mainly as he was friends with Ed Potter and his family name showed he had cause to be so arrogant.
When Roxxie glanced away, just for a second, he considered the way this conversation might go. It was always good to know what kinds of things were ahead, kept you on your toes in his opinion. "The best?" He pouted and folded his arms, as if he were a little kid being told he couldn't have another ice cream. "What if I return the favour? Might I get just one teeny one more?" His tone was teasing, slightly mocking, but Mal meant no harm. They had fought a few times, but he usually lost as he wasn't permitted to draw his wand or strike her. Manners and decorum sucked majorly...
"Even with the first years.... it's good to be back here." Abraxas commented and smiled faintly, glancing at the lake which had a few ripples and pages floating on the surface now. Seemed the squid hadn't liked what she had thrown anyway. Then again it was fussy. A fussy squid. Not something that Drumstrang had or many people could ever have claimed to have seen anyway. No one really saw it at Hogwarts, just the effects it caused and the occasional end of a tentacle.
